Organizing & Decluttering
My professional mission is to help my clients feel in control of their lives and be happy and content in their homes; to have the systems that we put in place be intuitively correct for them and well-designed to support them into the future. I want my clients to be confident that whatever comes next will not overwhelm them, and that they have everything they need to cope with anything that comes along.
Decluttering your home, office or storage is like adding rooms and closets to your home for free. Clutter not only clogs up your space, it takes up emotional energy. Organizing your belongings and your life will free up time and give you room to breathe in your jam-packed day. Whether it’s a garage or an office or a closet, paper flow or scheduling, we have the experience and expertise to make it work smoothly and easily for you.
Many people are reluctant to hire an organizer -- they feel that they should be able to do it themselves, or that the situation is too far gone for anyone to fix. They are concerned that an organizer will make them throw away all their things, or that the organizer will be disapproving or judgmental. Nothing could be further from the truth. At Spotted Salamander, we want our clients to enjoy the process of getting organized. We believe that a client’s decision to call us in is not an admission of defeat but a major step forward that should be applauded. We will never force you to discard anything you feel you need to keep. Instead, we will work with you to find positive ways to make sure that everything you keep truly serves you and brings value into your life. Many people feel (or have been told by others) that they should be able to do this alone . Don’t believe it -- few people are really good at organizing, especially if the situation has become overwhelming. We always say, “If you were going to do it yourself, you’d have done it by now.” You may have spent whole weekends trying to get through an organizing project. Bring in Spotted Salamander. We will make short work of all the problem areas in your life, and you’ll have fun doing it.
